With artistic parents in the 70's he found a natural playground for art and music. He started his career already in 1997 playing a leading role in a Danish feature, before moving on to directing.

He is a problem solver and creative mind, who needs to explore and understand the creative core of ideas coming from clients, to heighten the storytelling and create powerful outreach with outstanding work.

His style is naturalistic, cinematic and focuses on strong emotional storytelling. Mikkel has directed over 150 commercials since 2009 and is Member of the Danish Directors Association.
